The difference between these 2 tubes is about their "mutual conductance"
6AU6 is invariant or fix
6BA6 is variable.

you are right about this tube it shoud be 6ba6 i know already what the loose wiring was it was for the engine off the pickup and have to go too the transformator i,ve tried to put some foto,s on this site but that was not possible if you want i can send them to you email adress
